2. The actual translation of Piranesi’s text: Veduta del Ponte Molle sur Tevere due miglia lontan da Roma would be: "View of the Molle Bridge over the Tiber, Two Miles from Rome". In his catalogue, Hind (Arthur M. Hind Giovanni Battista Piranesi : A Critical Study, 1978 edition, The Holland Press Ltd., London: no. 64, p.57) has shortened Piranesi’s title to: The Ponte Molle.
