This exhibition explored the wealth of material made by French artist Marcel Gromaire. His work attempted to demonstrate that within the truly creative artists, there must transpire an unending struggle between nature's raw and brutal materials and the sensitivity and fragility of a human spirit. Included in the catalogue are many of his pen and ink drawings, watercolors, oil paintings, and etchings.
